Abstract: To most, a scrapbook is an assortment of photos and mementos kept in a book of some sort. What B.J. Palmer referred to as his scrapbook was actually his entire collected history of chiropractic dating as far back as 1890 to B.J.'s death in 1961. In its beginning, this scrapbook was also named "the autobiography of chiropractic." In 1949, B.J. gave us an account of this "scrap book," claiming that he started this collection as a child when he saved discarded writings of his father. These writings were compiled and bound, documenting and dating every significant discovery and development of chiropractic. The collection also contained various materials of photos, books, newspaper articles and research data, eventually occupying three stories of vaults.
