Abstract/Notes I was fortunate enough to have been invited to attend the recent National Workshop to Develope the Chiropractic Research Agenda II (held June 19-22 in Washington, DC) as a member of the Educational Research Committee. Our charge was to develop potentially fundable research projects pertaining to chiropractic education, and as part of doing so we followed a formal group dynamic process that required the members of the group to participate in different "events" designed to help generate a list of "sacred cows" for the group's specific discipline area. This was met with a great deal of enthusiasm, and the educational group ended up generating a lengthy list of such "cows". Once the fun was over we had a rather sobering moment of consideration; these "sacred cows" had ramifications that we initially did not consider in the initial debate. Indeed, these in many ways derive the educational process within chiropractic, and as a result they require us to look at them in a more disciplined manner. For the following list, all members of the educational research committee deserve thanks; these are not mine alone in any possible manner.
