Abstract/Notes

Objective: To determine the effects of nutrition on brain function.

Method: A review of the literature published in the last five years was performed for this study.

Results: Nutrients such as antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals promote a healthy brain. Poor nutrition negatively impacts brain functions such as memory, mood regulation, and cognitive function. It also causes damage to neurons through inflammation and oxidative stress.

Conclusion: Diet rich in antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins is linked to a healthy nervous system. Poor nutrition is detrimental to the brain.
