Abstract/Notes Behavioral-developmental pediatrics can be defined as the study of normals and variations in the sequential acquisition of fine and gross motor competencies, cognitive skills and adaptive functioning in social and non-social settings of the child.

Increasingly, children with developmental or behavioral variations or delay are finding their way to the chiropractor. It is the author’s belief that the chiropractic study and approach to pediatric care allows the chiropractor to understand and address these issues for the child in a less invasive and in many cases more effective way than most other disciplines.
