Abstract/Notes

Accurate clinical assessment of the costoclavicular syndrome may be difficult especially since the standard clinical tests may be confusing. The photoelectric plethysmogram greatly improves diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making, and provides an excellent outcome measure of treatment. A description of this syndrome with an illustrative case history is presented. The utility of the plethysmogram is demonstrated as an objective outcome measure of chiropractic manipulative therapy in this case.
