Abstract/Notes

Daisy Challiss Faust was one of the women pioneers in the chiropractic and naprapathic professions.  She was one of the early chiropractors who followed and accepted Oakley Smith's views on the ligamentous role in the subluxation and joined the naprapathic profession, thus rejecting D.D. Palmer's teachings of the bony subluxation.  She was the first practitioner to travel to Bohemia to study the bonesetting practice of napravit. Dr. Faust, along with other naprapaths, was of assistance in teaching various manipulative techniques to Alva Gregory.  She was also an accomplished artist, and as a practitioner of manipulation she loved her work, was an optimist, and became very successful in practice.
