Abstract/Notes

D.D. Palmer and B.J. Palmer issued conflicting statements on which segmental spinal level was adjusted on the first chiropractic patient, Harvey Lillard. We will present the conflicting statements of the founder and his son, B.J., who stated he was present that day 18 September 1895. Our main resources will be printed literature by the Palmers and other relevant persons. While it is doubtful that we can make a definitive conclusion of what level was adjusted on that day, we will examine each of the Palmers' statements for content and present discussions of several related topics that are relevant to this subject.
