Introduction: According to the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) wellness has been a part of the chiropractic paradigm since its inception and should begin the patient's first visit. By doing this chiropractic physicians assume the status of primary care providers of chronic disease thereby assisting patients back to a state of optimum health. Chiropractic is also the most regulated of the complementary and alternative disciplines. Patients should be encouraged by chiropractors to make wellness a lifelong pathway to better health and longevity.
