Excerpt: An initial study to determine the role of naturally occurring lithium in manic-depression was performed as a nutritional alternative to the conventional high dosage and often toxic treatment of lithium in manic depression. Results suggested in at least the depression phase that 150 meg. T.I.D. of natural lithium was just as effective as 300 - 900 mg. of lithium daily.
