Abstract/Notes

We are all familiar with how one problem in the body can affect another area. The secondary involvement may be remote from the primary area. Probably the classic example of referred involvement is the pain in the shoulder and the arm as a result of angina pectoris. TMJ alignment is critical to optimal mastication. Without chewing food sufficiently, many of our patients will develop digestive issues especially acid reflux and heartburn.
