Abstract/Notes

I recently had a 32 year old long distance runner who came into my off ice with low back soreness and pain in his right calf. He reported that he just came back from California (six hours of sitting) and could not think of any reason for the pains. After careful examination and low back X-Rays the patient was treated successfully for his low back pain but his leg pain did not seem to improve. Ice, calf stretches, compression stocking and arnica cream did reduce the reported discomfort from an 7/10 down to a 3/10. The only remaining symptoms after three weeks of care were the pain and a slight pitting edema.
