The following letter was sent to the Honorable Margaret M. Heckler, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services by Gerald M. Brassard, D.C. Executive Vice President of the American Chiropractic Association, and Bruce E. Nordstrom, D.C., Executive Vice President of the International Chiropractors Association.  The letter urges that proposed changes in Medicare beneficiaries' use of HMOs not exclude the services of alternate health-care providers such as doctors of chiropractic.
