Abstract/Notes

Radial head fractures are fairly common in the adult and are often more serious than they appear to be.  There can be prolonged disability, and a certain amount of limitation of motion in extension or in rotation is a typical permanent result. While these fractures are common, they are often not recognized on cursory examination of radiographs.
