Abstract/Notes

This paper presents the proper protocol for effectively diagnosing and managing sick children.  The pediatric patient is a separate clinical entity, both structurally and functionally different from the adult.  Consequently, the onset and course of pathology is also unique.  This paper will present the methods generally employed in contemporary pediatric practice as is commonly suggested by Bates and Hoekelman.
