Abstract/Notes

Duodenal bulb ulceration accounts for 80 percent of all peptic ulcers.  Approximately ten percent of the population suffers from this pathology, but remain asymptomatic.  Hemorrhage or perforation is the mechanism by which 10,000 lives are lost yearly in the United States as a result of this disease.  This paper presents one interesting case study of duodenal bulb ulceration, and documents pertinent academic data.
