Abstract/Notes

The March 2013 issue of Topics in Integrative Health Care presents articles of interest to clinicians, particularly complementary and alternative health care providers. TIHC Associate Editor, Daniel Redwood, DC, contributes an interesting interview with Brian Berman, MD, a pioneer in integrative medicine. John Ward, DC, MA, MS, and colleagues have done a systematic review of the use by non-Hispanic blacks of complementary and alternative medicine. Ronald D. Williams, Jr., PhD, CHES, contributes a case report which is the first published case linking obesity to the delayed diagnosis of acromegaly. Finally, in this issue we introduce a new feature, Putting Research into Practice, in which the authors review the literature in order to address a specific clinical question. For this first Putting Research into Practice, Jamil Vohra and colleagues develop a comprehensive protocol for treating fibromyalgia with exercise, based on the literature.
