Abstract/Notes Prior to the acceptance enjoyed today, doctors of chiropractic were prevented from employing medical laboratories for analyses in the care of their patients. To assist in providing diagnostic analysis, instruments were developed exclusively for use by chiropractors in the treatment of patients seeking nutritional advice. Two of these early diagnostic instruments are discussed [the Hemoglobinometer and the Petechiometer].
