Abstract/Notes Excerpt: This handbook was written as a quick reference for primary care providers who treat occupational, recreational, and sports-induced injuries and medical problems. The stated objective is to provide a problem-oriented book to help pediatricians, internists, family physicians, nurse practitioners and physicians’ assistants approach and deal with these issues more effectively. The text is clearly laid out with a user-friendly table of contents. Illustrations are used throughout the book to demonstrate concepts, show how test procedures are conducted, and to demonstrate some rehabilitation exercises.
