Abstract/Notes This paper offers a brief review of child abuse in the United States and describes an example of a community program in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to stop and reverse the adverse effects of child abuse. This commentary aims to offer resources, raise awareness, and stimulate research into child abuse incidence, type, and prevention.
