| Objective: To discuss the effects of a disciplined chiropractic treatment program in a patient diagnosed with eosinophilic gastroenteritis who had been treated with medications that may have, in this case, caused additional pathology due to chemical noxious substances. Design: A case study Setting: Private practice Patient: A nine-year-old Caucasian female with previously diagnosed gastroenteritis developed additional complaints of asthma and urinary incontinence from medications. Treatment and Results: Chiropractic care consisted of chiropractic spinal adjustments, cranial adjustments, craniosacral adjustments and nutritional support. After 10 months of chiropractic care the patient had complete resolution of all symptoms which allowed her to eat a full balanced diet without nausea or vomiting, exercise and have bladder and bowel control. Conclusion: This case shows how medications, while initially reducing the symptoms of nausea and vomiting, caused respiratory problems and urinary incontinence.
