Abstract/Notes Some doctors are not yet clear about just what is considered evidence. Furthermore, many do not yet have the skills to determine good vs. poor evidence. But this evidence is needed to support the use of chiropractic manipulation, modalities, and diagnostic tests used in practice. This is true even though the concept of evidence-based practice (EBP) has been around for over a decade in the chiropractic profession and its implementation has resulted in many improvements. The article focuses on various kinds of evidence and helps the practitioner assess evidence validity and reliability.
