Abstract/Notes This case deals with thoracic compression fractures in a young adult following a snowboarding accident. These fractures are generally considered stable and are treated conservatively. Assessment, diagnosis, radiographic appearances, passive and active treatment protocols and prognosis are reviewed. Whenever significant trauma is involved, the chiropractor must suspect a fracture as a differential diagnosis.
