Abstract/Notes

Building upon the founder’s theories and techniques, some of D.D. Palmer’s early followers became openly competitive.  Considering himself the censor and guardian of chiropractic “truth,” Palmer’s reaction – his tome entitled The Chiropractor’s Adjustor, was typical of his flair and fury.  Intellectual growth, as well as clarification of chiropractic principles, was stimulated but not without ongoing acrimony.
